Misty Sheep

If you go through the woods near our house you come to a look-out point that gives a over the whole valley. On this particular day there was an amazingly thick mist which  shrouded all but 15 meters in front of you.

The main point of this painting though was an exercise in composition and atmosphere. Compositionally I have tried to balance the main group of sheep in the middle by adding a single sheep on the left. This fulcrum and lever composition can be seen in many classical paintings and photography. This technique along with the lines of the hill and hedge should bring the focus to the single sheep. Whether I have achieved a balanced and pleasing composition I leave to you.
