A couple of weeks ago I got given a book cover illustration job. As part of the process I borrowed a friend to pose for the composition I was thinking of. I did a sketch from the photo and sent it off to the art director. Whilst I was waiting for a reply (it being the weekend) I did the below painting which is a close up of one of the photos I took. I’ve changed the colours in the painting a lot. It struck me only after that she does have a distinct “living dead” feel but hopefully she won’t be too offended by that. Thanks SB.
