My latest cover for Parthian Books

The below stages show how the image progressed. You can see how I initially had the husband hanging from the platform but I found it didn’t work compositionally. I also wanted to project a tighter family bond and so felt that having him sitting with his arm around the children was better. In stage 3 the woman was too large so you can see from the final image that I reduced her down a touch. Final image was done in acrylic on arches 180lb watercolour paper. Parthian’s blurb on book.
